Earth international day

Every year on April 22, the days of “Earth” and “Mother Earth” are celebrated all over the world. These are two different international holidays, but the meaning is the same. Different celebrations and actions are organized on this day in different countries. The day was declared by Bolivia on April 22, 2009 at the 63rd session of the UN General Assembly. More than 50 UN member states co-authored the resolution. Miguel d’Escoto, President of the 63rd Session of the General Assembly, stated that the declaration of this International Day in the resolution is a recognition of the fact that the Earth and its Ecosystems provide life for humanity, as well as the affirmation of the commitments made in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro.
